September is here and she may arrive with a bang. We are all waiting to see if we really are going to see Hurricane Earl come close. Some people are hauling boats and some are not. I guess we are on the wait and see tactic ourselves.
On the other hand the fishing has picked up again. Jeff landed a Bonito yesterday with his customers and saw quite a few more. I landed a nice fat 34" Bass with my customer Sasha Handelsman a pretty good morning. The afternoon trips we saw some more Bones sniffing our flies but did not hook up, but we did catch some Blues. Hopefully the weather won't mess with the fish too much this weekend. I guess we will batten down the hatches and see what plays out.

Good News! The Bonito have landed. Who knows if they will stay but its gotten better and better since my last report.
Joe Santucci fished with me yesterday and he got one on his first fly cast. We landed two in the matter of 20 minutes. It was nice to finally catch some Bones on the Bar.
The Bass fishing is getting better too. Capt Jeff landed three yesterday morning also. Waters are cooling and the fishing is picking up. Next to show should be False Albacore!!!
I know they are close.

After a couple weeks of tough fishing things are getting better. Capt Shawn landed 7 Bonito on the Bar a few days ago. Also Corey Gammill landed a few the last couple days on his trips. I on the other hand I never seem to be in the right spot at the right time. I have caught Blues but only one Bonito has come over the rail for my boat. I am hoping to change that tomorrow!
The Beach fishing has had its ups and downs too. The best bite is at Great Point. Just don't get stuck at the Point try the East and West facing shores.
I am also hearing of more Bass starting to bite around the Island. One Customer caught one at Great Point but only landed a head. He thought Shark, no seals were around at all. Things are picking up get out and wet a line.
